Kepha Arcemont is a New Orleans-born guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter whose electrifying performances and blues-infused rock have established him as a dynamic force in the classic rock revival scene. His musical journey began at age 13, ignited by a concert featuring Dr. John and the Night Trippers, Paper Steamboat, and Vince Vance and the Valiants.
Immersed in his mother's record collection — Led Zeppelin, Free, Cream, The Allman Brothers Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd — he developed a deep connection to rock and roll. He picked up guitar at 15, writing songs by 17, and has since amassed over 100 original compositions that showcase his emotive guitar work and heartfelt lyrics.
Drawing inspiration from Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Paul Kossoff, Billy Gibbons, Rory Gallagher, Robin Trower, Leslie West, Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iommi, Johnny Winter, Pete Townshend, Peter Green, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour — Kepha forges a sound that is unmistakably Southern and undeniably powerful.
After relocating back to the New Orleans area in August 2024, Kepha reorganized and launched The Kepha Arcemont Experiment — a bold new chapter featuring world-class session musicians and original compositions that reach from the bayous of Louisiana to the world. Two albums released in 2025 — Are You Experimental? and Rock's Not Dead — deliver 18 tracks of raw, roots-rock fury that honor the classic rock tradition while pushing it forward.
The Kepha Arcemont Experiment emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic — a testament to perseverance. When an initial drummer's timing issues forced a rethink, Kepha reached out to Kenny Aronoff, one of rock's most legendary drummers. A year later, Aronoff said yes.
The debut album was captured at the iconic Studio in the Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana — the same room that recorded Kansas, Stevie Wonder, and Willie Nelson. Through a mutual friend, Kepha connected with Philip Bynoe — Steve Vai's longtime bassist — who joined the fold, completing what many call one of rock's premier rhythm sections.
The second album spread across New Orleans studios — Jack Miele Production and Marigny Studios — with additional sessions near Abilene, Texas and at Melody Mountain Ranch Studios in Stephenville, TX. All tracks were mastered by Justin Armstrong in Slidell, Louisiana.

In 2014, Kepha founded Peace of Blues in Texas, inspired by a friend's suggestion to form a blues-rock band. Promoted by Black Crow Productions in the DFW area, the power trio delivered high-energy performances echoing the 1970s rock era.
Peace of Blues debuted at SXSW 2019 at the Dirty Dog Bar on 6th Street in Austin, Texas — described by Sin City Presents as "hardened, rattlesnake rock n' roll." The band released two albums to the underground community before Kepha relocated back to New Orleans and launched The Kepha Arcemont Experiment in 2024.
The Kepha Arcemont Experiment's debut album is a testament to perseverance, crafted over seven grueling years amid the chaos of the COVID-19 crisis. A raw, roots-rock masterpiece that captures the soul of the South — featuring eight original songs and a timeless Bob Dylan cover.
